I didn't want to spend $100 on a sound machine. I found this and it seemed decent for the price. It has been a lifesaver. It has multiple sound settings, time and volume controls. Its portable and the batteries I put in it when I got it are still going strong months later. Save yourself the money and aggravation of one of those large machines and buy this instead.
This is just what I've been looking for! We have a Marpac Dohm sound machine at home, and let me tell you, it is a BEAST to travel with. It's heavy and bulky and such a hassle with its long cord. My husband and I were just using a white noise app on our cell phones for naps at grandma's house, but the MyBaby Soundspa is SO MUCH BETTER. It's lightweight, has a great range of volume, options, and the "white" noise is actually something much more soothing (might be brown noise?). Just what we needed for our frequent trips to grandma's!I also recently brought this with me on a 13 hour road trip and discovered a jackpot of other benefits. I used the included clip to attach the machine to my baby's infant car seat and it was PERFECT for getting him to sleep on the road. I also used it for his nighttime sleep for all 5 nights we were gone, and the batteries lasted without a problem. If you're considering getting a portable sound machine like I was, DO IT and GET THIS ONE. Loved the price too!!
This has been super durable. We drop it on the floor all the time but it still works great. It gets clunked around while attached to the carseat carrier but everything works like new. I didn't expect it to be such good quality for $10. We use the ocean/white noise most but my 3yo also loves to put on nursery rhyme songs. I love that it has a timer to shut it's self off. I was hoping for gestational sounds, but my baby loved the ocean sounds just fine. I have bought another as a gift.
Very nice sound. Not as loud as the Shusher, that torpedo looking thing, but it's MUCH more pleasant. It has several sounds, but we only use the crashing waves. Baby goes out like a light. I mean maybe two minutes after a bottle, max. And that's stretching it. We couldn't live with the shusher because baby's crib is in our room, and there's no way we were going to have that in the same room, but we can sleep with the waves. It works on wives too. She insists that she can't sleep with any noise in the room, but this is no problem for her. I may turn it on next time she starts talking about a new honey-do list.
Ok I really love this item. I know how hard it is for moms to get their little ones to sleep, and for this reason alone, I did a lot of review and product reading to make sure that I purchased the best item for my little one. My review is therefore to help other moms, for a lot of the reviews on here helped me too. I purchased the Fisher Price mobile which is great, but now that summer is here, and we are out and about travelling, we needed something small, less bulky, convenient and that would get the job done. My little one loves the melody option on this. We feed her with the music on at bed time and by the time we are burping her she is passed out fast asleep. It has timer options at 15/30/45 min which is great so that its not playing all night. Greatest thing is that the music is not parent annoying. As parents we come across a lot of toys that whilst comforting to the baby, is extremely annoying to the parent. This is not it. Its easy to carry in the car seat and in the little portable crib that we got for her, and unlike the current mobile i have this increases and reduces the volume in an adjustable manner that's determined by the parent, and not two settings where its either high or low. And honestly for this price, it is a win win for sure. No negative reviews on my end. I'm so thankful I made this purchase. And like other reviews on her I only hope that this will also help someone else.
